TYPATRIARCHY CARDS

Typatriarchy is a term coined by Aasawari Kulkarni on the relation between the patriarchy and typefaces as well as how they are used and designed.

This informational card deck is a set of five that explores the different ways that sexism and gender-based discrimination can be seen in design and advertisements throughout history. Inspired by the phallic image of cigarettes, the back of the cards depicts the deterioration of a cigarette, reflecting the fragility of masculinity.
